THE WINERY

It is a family project that was born in 1998 with the planting of our first vineyard that currently extends to over 14 hectares of the varieties Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Syrah.

Daniel García-Pita, father and son, were sure that in this exceptional environment a "great wine from Madrid" could be obtained, a wine truly faithful to its terroir. That is why they choose to follow a biodynamic viticulture, a type of cultivation that respects the natural cycles of the earth. The viticulture of the project, Jérôme Bougnaud, considers: "the soil is a living being". For this French winemaker, a great defender of this type of crop, biodynamics allows us to understand things in depth and becomes also a philosophy of life.

El Regajal Selección Especial and Las Retamas de El Regajal, made in our winery in Madrid, belong to the Denomination of Origin "Vinos de Madrid", a Denomination in which wineries that work with dedication and care produce wines of very different style. The Wines of Madrid gain in prestige from year to year thanks to the great wines that, like those of our winery, are made in the Community of Madrid. Undoubtedly, the wines of Madrid grow and are increasingly more attractive to the most demanding wine lover.

El Regajal also participates in the elaboration of Galia, a project fruit of the concerns of Daniel Garcia-Pita Jr, and Jerome Bougnaud. This project allows them to satisfy the long-felt desire to contribute to the knowledge of an important part of the cultural heritage of the Spanish countryside: wisdom and good work for centuries of winemakers who cultivate their terroirs according to the tradition in which Jerome was educated. They are terroirs with almost century-old vines in the provinces of Soria, Burgos and Valladolid.

VISITS, TASTINGS AND WINE TOURISM

Following the current patterns of wine tourism around the world, El Regajal makes available to the public several options to approach the culture of wine. The winery has a large and bright tasting room, suitable for holding tastings for both individuals and groups.

We organize visits to our vineyards in which the different tasks of a complete crop cycle are explained. Later, inside our winery, this visit is completed with a detailed explanation of the vinification, aging and maturing processes of our wines. During the visit all our wines are tasted in their various elaboration phase.

OUR WINES

El Regajal Selección Especial

El Regajal seleccion is made intirely with the best selection of grapes from our vineyards. The first vintage of this wine was that of 2001 and since then it has become one of the great wines of the Community of Madrid. It has won many awards and obtained the best scores in the most prestigious Spanish and foreign guides. Its production is limited.

Las Retamas del Regajal

Las Retamas de El Regajal being a more spontaneous and easy wine to understand but still has the essential characteristics of our winery. Its aging of between 9 and 11 months in French oak barrels respect the fundamental values of the fruit.

Galia Villages 2016

Galia, is made from almost centuries' old vines, ranging from an altitude of 968 m. up to 795m, along the course of the Douro River through the provinces of Soria, Burgos and Valladolid. The expertise of the viticulture craftsmanship and the privileged microclimate lead to excellent Tinto Fino and Grenache grapes from old grapevines that express the complexity of the great soil. As they do not belong in the majority of the cases to areas of Designation of Origin they are treasures that have not been properly valued. The total freedom in the choice of grapes is the reason that GALIA does not belong to any Denomination of Origin and is produced under the certification of "Wine of the Land of Castilla y León"

Color amarillo oro de intensidad media alta. Buena intensidad en nariz con finas notas tostadas y minerales. En boca, cuerpo medio alto, con buena acides. Muy fresco y gran expresión frutal. Un gran godello durante a menos cuatro años en botella.

Events

El Regajal, just 35 minutes ride from Madrid, is a unique and exclusive space for business and company events. Its location in the middle of nature together with its modern facilities, makes it an ideal place to hold meetings, presentations of products and services, congresses, work lunches, incentive days, team building, etc.

It also offers the possibility of visiting our winery, getting a firsthand knowledge the process of making our wines while having a great time. These visits can be completed with the game "make your own wine" in which the visitors themselves make their own "Coupage" from the different wines of the winery or "the wine casino" in which participants bet over different aspects of the wine tasted; origin of the wine, color, type of grape, etc.

Its proximity to the historic city of Aranjuez makes available to our customers all the services that this city, a World Heritage Site, offers including the possibility to visit its palace, gardens and make use of stay on the many hotel facilities.

The diversity and versatility of our spaces, both outdoors and indoors, allows events to be held at any time of the year.

El Regajal only organizes one event per day offering exclusivity to our clients.

Our Spaces

Indoor: Inside its exclusive cellar, a large and bright meeting and projections room equipped with all necessary systems. Its spacious and cozy glass pavilion offers our customers the possibility to hold both large and small and selected events.

Outdoor: Its large gardens and courtyards offer the possibility of combining work with outdoor activities. It has an exclusive parking for its customers with enormous capacity for vehicles and buses.

The different spots that El Regajal puts at your disposal exclusively - gardens, courtyards, pavilion, pergola and wine arbor - allow you to fully personalize any celebration.

Our Spaces

The Vineyard Garden: Designed with local plants and surrounded by one of the vineyards of El Regajal. Find there our arbor completely covered with plants and perfectly integrated into the landscape. It is perfect for the celebration of wedding ceremonies and outdoor concerts. At night its warm lighting makes it the ideal place to start with the cocktail.

The courtyards: Their privileged location allows you to enjoy views of the countryside, our vineyards and olive groves, the city of Aranjuez, and Madrid in the distance. The sunsets are breath taking and it is the perfect place to hold dinners and meals on the outside. It is possible to install an open tent for nights that cool.

The Garden of Olives: Along with our extensive olive grove, which will escort you as soon as you enter the Regajal, this beautiful garden offers an intimate space surrounded by nature, where you can celebrate lunches, dinners or take a break during weddings and events. Its night lighting creates a magical atmosphere.

Indoor spaces: Our elegant and cozy glass pavilion surrounded by nature, with capacity for 300 people, makes possible to hold, at any time of the year, your wedding or celebration.

The Olives groves welcomes you to our estate. Next our well tender vineyards -that achieve each year the best harvest for our winery- will accompany you. Courtyards, gardens, flower beds, walks ... and the Royal Site of Aranjuez as a backdrop, will be the perfect place for your wedding, company or celebration event.
